Academics & Credits
Study abroad offers unparalleled academic, experiential, and cultural exposure to complement GW’s undergraduate on-campus curriculum. All majors on campus have the opportunity to study abroad, including engineers and mathematicians.
The Office for Study Abroad recommends that students begin planning to study abroad in their freshman year. Students can learn about the various program options and meet with their academic advisors to outline their four-year plan for graduation. By preparing early, students will be able to study on a program most closely aligned with their academic and cultural interests.
Students can also use their freshman and sophomore years to start or continue to develop their foreign language skills. This may allow students more program and course offerings in their desired location.
