Provider Scholarships

Here are some of the GW approved affiliated programs that offer scholarships. Check with the program where you have applied to see if they offer any scholarships.

Program Providers:

The Institute for the International Education of Students believes in equal access to study abroad for all students. As such, the program provider annually delegates approximately $1 million for student scholarships having varying qualifications.

The Council on International Educational Exchange offers five types of scholarships, awarding students financial assistance based on factors including financial need and academic excellence while emphasizing underrepresented countries and groups of students.

Arcadia CEA offers semester and full academic year scholarships for students applying to attend an Arcadia program.

Institute for Study Abroad, Butler University (IFSA-Butler) offers scholarships and travel grants for students applying to attend Butler University program.

The School for International Training (SIT) offers a variety of scholarships to students applying to their programs. About one-third of those who seek scholarships from SIT Study Abroad receive financial assistance.

Syracuse University (SU) Abroad has merit- and need- based grants for non-SU students.

Denmark’s International Study has allocated scholarship funds for students who otherwise could not afford to study in Denmark. Four types of scholarships are offered, all awarded on the basis of financial need.

College Year in Athens has set aside funds for nine different supplemental scholarships for academically qualified students who would not otherwise be able to attend.
