Programs
With an ever increasing number of study programs in the international arena, it can be difficult to identify and select an appropriate study abroad program with confidence. The security of GW students, the integrity of the GW undergraduate degree, and the confidence of GW faculty in study abroad programs are important priorities for the University as we seek to provide opportunities for our students abroad.
Through the Office for Study Abroad, the University maintains its List of Study Abroad Programs that are approved for the participation of GW undergraduate students. The list includes study abroad opportunities offered by GW in England, Latin America, Madrid, and Paris; by GW’s exchange partners in thirteen countries; and by affiliated partners in over forty countries. The list was compiled through faculty and professional staff review and is reviewed and updated periodically. A petition process is available for students whose well-defined academic or linguistic needs are not served by any of the programs on the approved list.
