BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Is this the program for me?
This program offers full immersion in Argentinean culture.  Students will complete all courses at the Universidad Catolica de Argentina with local Argentinean students and faculty.  They may also choose to apply to the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, a smaller university that specializes in social sciences.  Courses must be taken only at one university or the other.

To fully integrate into classes at the Universidad Catolica Argentina or the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella, students are required to have completed six semesters of Spanish language or the equivalent.

Students can choose courses from 19 major fields including business, communications, economics, engineering, international relations, and philosophy.  Students at Universidad Católica Argentina are required to take a Spanish placement test and a semester-long Spanish language course.

Highlights
The Universidad Catolica de Argentina is a private institution located in a modern, self-contained city campus in the recently renovated Puerto Madero port district.  The university’s strong emphasis on community service gives students the opportunity to volunteer with local social programs and activities.  A strong Christian character and tradition are the university’s hallmarks.

The Universidad Torcuato Di Tella is located in the northern part of the city, in the quiet residential neighborhood of Belgrano.  It is accessible by bus or metro.  It is considered the “honors” option in Buenos Aires, and classes are rigorous and demanding.  Its small size gives it a close-knit feel.
Students for the fall semester can elect to attend a summer intensive Spanish language course in Costa Rica.
