GW Madrid

Study Abroad in Madrid, Spain

GW MADRID offers a program designed to develop your proficiency with the Spanish language and to explore more fully the culture of Spain, its literature, history, politics, and economics while earning GW credit toward an undergraduate degree.

Formal coursework is complemented by program-sponsored excursions, field studies, seminars, homestay living, and internships.

Is this the program for me?

GW Madrid is designed for students who have an intermediate level of Spanish and want to strengthen their Spanish language ability.

Courses, taught in both English and Spanish, complement the programs of students in the liberal arts, international affairs, business and others.

You concentrate on learning about Spain, its people, and its ever expanding role in the international community.

GW MADRID invites students from other U.S. accredited colleges and universities to apply.

Highlights

Based at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, the program has access to professors at the premier national university in Madrid.

You receive GW grades and credit for all your courses when you choose to take only GW courses.

You have the option of choosing to take courses from an extensive list of offerings taught in Spanish through the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.

Learning is enhanced by incorporating a variety of special events, excursions, and opportunities to meet Spanish students.

For students with advanced Spanish, internships are possible.
