Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris or Sciences Po has been training the best young minds of France and Europe for leadership service since 1872. As one of Europe's most distinguished universities, Sciences Po prepares its graduates to become leaders in business, government, research, and education through a multidisciplinary grounding in the social sciences. With an enrollment of over 5,000 (25% of whom are international students from around the world), Sciences Po has a staff of some 1,200 teachers, a great majority of whom are established practitioners in their respective fields. Sciences Po is an urban campus composed of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century mansions located in the heart of Paris' prestigious 6th and 7th arrondissements. Sciences Po's location places its students in a decision-making center of French life surrounded by ministries, embassies, corporate headquarters, publishing houses, and the Assemblée Nationale while also exposing them to the cultural flavor of the Saint Germain district with its cafes, art galleries, fashion shops, cinemas, and restaurants.
