Short-Term Programs

GW offers students the opportunity to enroll in summer courses and semester courses with overseas components.  These courses are led by GW faculty and spend anywhere from one week to one month abroad.  A majority of the courses hold class sessions on campus or online before and after going abroad.  Participation in these programs is open to both GW and non-GW students.

Students interested in studying abroad on courses not offered through the Office for Study Abroad (OSA) still need to register with the OSA prior to departure.  Students on the following programs register with the OSA by submitting a completed Short Term Abroad Memorandum of Enrollment and Short Term Abroad Participation Agreement :

  1. GW Oxford, International Human Rights Law
  2. GW Munich, Intellectual Property Law
  3. GW Global Health, Internship or Program (for credit)
  4. GW Human Resource Development Program
  5. GW Dean’s Scholars in Globalization Program

If students study abroad on any short-term program NOT mentioned on this website, they should call the OSA. These students need to meet all OSA summer eligibility guidelines and plan to attend a general pre-departure orientation briefing.”
