The Focus on Fall Abroad Community (FOFAC) is for students who study abroad during a fall semester (typically during junior year) on any GW approved program and return to campus the following spring semester.  Upon return, they join a community with other study abroad participants and international exchange students. Special programming is offered to the community members throughout the spring, including embassy visits, international dinners, career panels, film screenings, plays, and more.

FOFAC aims to connect globally-minded students before, during, and after their fall semester abroad. The community enhances their international experiences through a smooth re-integration process, engagement with the multi-cultural city of Washington, DC, and providing guidance on how to fit their abroad experience in the larger scope of their professional life.

There are many benefits for FOFAC members:
  • Privileged early registration for spring courses
  • Some tuition award and housing opportunities (please speak to a study abroad adviser to learn more about these opportunities!)
  • Exclusive FREE international events and career workshops in the spring
